Worry Is A Limited Perspective

11/9/2025

Worry is a problem of limited perspective — but peace comes when we begin to see life through God’s eyes. In this message, we look at Philippians 4:4–7 and discover how to trade our anxiety for joy, prayer, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Paul reminds us to “Rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4). Joy isn’t about pretending everything is fine — it’s about remembering that no matter where we are, God is with us. When we live from that truth, our hearts begin to rest. Then Paul continues, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything” (Philippians 4:6). Drawing close to God drives out worry because His presence settles what our minds can’t fix. As St. Augustine said, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.” Finally, “The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus”(Philippians 4:7). Peace isn’t just the absence of problems — it’s the triumph of a day spent walking with Jesus.
