Who you walk with shapes where you end up. David stayed home when others went to war, and that decision led to failure—but the right friends could have changed the moment. In 2 Samuel 23:8–12, we see David’s mighty men—once outcasts, now transformed through friendship and shared purpose. Scripture reminds us to be intentional: Amos 3:3 and 2 Corinthians 6:14–15 show that while we can be friends with anyone, our closest relationships should align with our faith. Good friends help guard you from sin, speak courage, and offer wisdom. As Matthew 16:24 teaches, following Jesus is a daily choice—and the people around you matter.
